Week 4

This week we started learning Mandarin with our lovely volunteer teacher Hayley. She is here studying english at the polytechnic and as part of her studies she comes to our school to teach. This week we learnt hello 'Nǐ Hǎo' and good-bye 'Zài jiàn. Hayley will come once a week for the rest of the term. '

On Friday mornings we participate in Discovery Time. This is a time where we practice our Key Competencies. We love getting involved with the activities and we work together to create, problem solve and to have fun. Here are a couple of pictures from this week.

Every second Thursday we get together for Syndicate assembly. This is a time to celebrate our recent achievements, share some of our learning and work with the other classes and sing some songs. These are this weeks children that received a certificate.
